My Story

I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach because I’m passionate about nutrition and helping people with emotional eating challenges. In the past, I’ve had my own personal struggle with emotional eating. I want to help people learn how to manage their emotions in a way that doesn’t involve food.

Life is far from easy. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 23 years. Juggling five kids, five schedules, and five personalities (including my own!) can be extremely stressful. I was exhausted all the time. I wasn’t sleeping enough, I was drinking too much coffee, and not practicing self-care. I lost sight of who I was. I found myself sitting in front of the computer morning until night eating uncontrollably. Hiding candy in my bedroom drawers, locking myself in the bedroom to stuff myself with gourmet cupcakes, and eating meals before bedtime is how out of control I was. I wasn’t even aware of what I was doing. All I know is, I had found comfort in eating even when I wasn’t hungry.

After I turned 40, I started gaining weight and I felt like garbage. I realized something was wrong and I had to change. One of the most rewarding ways I learned how to manage my emotions was through movement. After joining a personal training studio, I started running. I not only fell in love with it, but also became fit and started feeling like a new person. I’ve completed several 5K, 8K, and 10K races, including a Half Marathon. I have five amazing children that I strive to inspire daily and I’m proud to say three are runners.

I’ve always loved being in the kitchen, cooking up delicious meals, while listening to Pandora. I love music! I began eating clean after joining the personal training studio and that is where my journey began. I learned how to eat the right foods for my unique body and immediately started feeling amazing. I soon realized that working out and running had taken the place of my struggle with emotional eating. I am no longer an emotional eater, but I am a very mindful one.

As a health coach, I promise to help you with your personal struggle.
